July Style Trends:
Still coming down from a major high from my daughter’s wedding. Wow. What a wedding week it was. A few days before the rehearsal dinner on that Friday, we were getting last minute wedding prep done and I sliced my finger accidentally with a swiss army knife. Fun. On the way to the doctor to make sure I didn’t need stitches, my other daughter called and her car got towed. So I’m in with the dr. to check my finger and on the phone facetiming a remote notary service to notarize approval for my daughter to get her car out. What a world we live in that for our convenience, I could facetime a notary and get that done without having to drive 40 minutes to the car lot to release the car in person to her. Wow. The notary I spoke with was such a blessing. She was quick, efficient and finished the call with me saying she would keep us all in her prayers for a safe and fun wedding weekend. She was a blessing. I really do believe in our lives we have an opportunity every day to serve and lift up others. Honestly, sometimes I’m aware of trying to do that and other times I am not….. but in my job as a stylist that is one of the aspects of it that brings me the most joy. I love helping my clients find their looks for a closet refresh, create a capsule for their summer trips, update their work style, or style couples for a summer wedding :) I am sure you, in your daily work and life have your ways of contributing to the greater good. It’s important to do in this world where life is hard, and life is challenging.
So let’s talk July Top Picks! I featured a few different collages per usual. On the yacht/ boating day looks, take a peek at the FARM RIO SCARF BAG. So so cute. It’s got an insert that you can put a few things in. My daughter who is on her honeymoon in Nice said she saw similar bags like this all over. It’s a vibrant palette of colors and a beautiful accessory to add to your look. On the Summer Evening Out collage, take a look at the Chanel wallet with chain. Such a gorgeous color for a summer night and well, its Chanel! :0. LOVE! For the Day at the Lake or Beach collage, check out the Sunny Folding Chair. Every time I walk by this at Nordstroms I take a deep breath, because it takes me to the beach and I pretend I am there instead of in our still 58 degree cloudy weather in Seattle. Seriously. Let me get another coffee and let’s move on to my next collage of the Travel Picks. Styling your look for travel for the summer is a fun one. Keep your fabrics lightweight for the heat yet have some easy layers for the AC. You can always add a button down shirt over a tank or tee for your layer. Then utilize the button down for a multitude of looks on your trip. I love the cargo linen pants in this collage. So cute! Also the pop of color in the blouse by Chasing Unicorns. Such a cool brand and look. For my collage of Casual Looks for Him, Marine Layer has some fantastic pieces right now as shown here. The Rag and Bone Athletic denim is a great wash and very very comfortable! Add in an accessory with the Tailor bracelet by Louis Vuitton. Very cool.
Hopefully these will inspire you for this month of July. There are lots of sales that are and will be happening this month. Enjoy the sun, your summer, and your vacation if you are headed somewhere. As always, I am here for you to style you for any and all of it!
