March Style Trends:
Cannot believe it is March! Can you? I am SO excited about that because I am not a winter girl. I love the sun and heat so March to me means that summer will be here soon!!!
Its been a full last few weeks shopping for clients for their trips to the sun and warmer temps, for other clients celebrating birthdays in fun places, and for clients who needed some updated work pieces and a closet refresh. What I love seeing in stores right now for women is all of the linen, beautiful flowy trouser pants, and color. JCREW has a gorgeous Cosmo Pant that comes in petite, regular, or tall sizes. Style with their Jersey Relaxed Stripe Tee and add the Lenore Lady Blazer. Shoe choice with this look is dependent on your agenda for the day. For work, style with a fashion sneaker or heel depending on your work environment. For a casual day, pair this look with a gladiator sandal, or ballerina flat.
Banana Republic has some gorgeous oversized Linen Shirts for women. Style over a tank with a trouser pant for a chic look, or wear with shorts and sandals on your sunny vacation. A look I always love is the Frye Harness Boots at Anthropologie. Personally I would wear these with denim shorts, a white linen button-down, and add the Dolce Vita Ravello Raffia Shoulder Bag. To add some color to this look I am creating, I would tie a colorful silk scarf on the bag and add a statement necklace. There’s a few at Anthro - the Rainbow Stone Necklaces are vibrant and so fun to stack a few colors together. The Paper Clip Pendant Necklace is a great option as well and I would wear it with the Square Resin Bangle Bracelet.
Finally, take a look at the Maeve Cotton Tapered Chino Pants. A great look to get your March started right. Style for work with a corset top or tee and add a blazer to complete your look. To style these pants casually, wear with a sweatshirt and a fashion sneaker. Grab a tote bag, with a colorful silk scarf tied on it or around your waist or neck and you are all set.
For my guys - light wash denim shirts (Citizens of Humanity and Nordstrom has a great one!) with chinos, linen pants, or a tailored short is a great look for March. Banana Republic has some great polo shirts in cotton and linen that you can style so many ways. Check out Bugatchi at Nordstroms. The Miles Ooocotton Print Shirt in Black is really cool. Easy to style with jeans, or with some Peter Millar chinos and a blazer for work or an evening gathering.
