February Style Trends:
February - To be early is to be on time. To be on time is to be late. To be late is to be left. Wise words from my college coach. In this case - I would have been left. I am so late with my Feb. Style Trends! :0
So much to talk about for this month! First and foremost for Feb.-my mind is the Supebowl game tomorrow! Patriots vs. the Seahawks. I’ve been asked a lot this week who I am rooting for; mostly because my husband played for the Patriots 2001-2003. Pic above is from the ‘03 Superbowl. My son was born in Rhode Island, and my husband played with Mike Vrabel so we have some allegiances to the Pats. Also love a regular coffee from Dunkin Donuts because it’s full of sugar and cream and packs a punch so you can get a lot done in a day!! :) BUT- We live in Seattle and I am a huge fan of our GM for the Hawks, so I want to support this team as well. As far as outfits ; it’s such a fun fashion show that I have always loved to see.
February also brings on Valentines Day. Seriously one of my favorite holidays because who doesn’t love chocolate and pops of red and pink in their outfits? See the two pics above for one of my Valentines Day outfit inspo…. a cute and cozy heart sweater from Anthropologie.
Another featured look I love for this month is track pants. The outfit above is a faux leather track pant from Anthropologie. See my latest post on IG for other track pant varietals. There’s so many great ones to choose from. I love this look now and also into spring. Style in spring with your fav tank, sneakers or flip flops or a casual look. Or style with a silk cami and heels for a night out! Versatile and easy to dress up or dress down. These pieces are so necessary in your closet for the multitude of events that we all participate in.
I’ve also included above a pic of one of my favorite pieces. Polka dots are a feature amongst other looks for spring. As well as silk scarves. This top features both and I will style it with a black blazer or a black leather coat and white jeans. Can also be styled on its own with black denim shorts and a sandal or sneaker when we eventually get to warmer temps! Can’t wait for that!
Watch for more pops of pink and cobalt blues and for color in general. Check out the beautiful coat in the pic above. Such a gorgeous color and easy to style casually with jeans and a sweatshirt, or dress it up over your pants suit for work. If you’re not a person who wears a lot of color - you can always give a nod to this trend in a bag, shoe, scarf, or other accessory if you don’t want to wear it in a clothing item.
